What is the difference between gia and other diamond grading companies?

The GIA or Gemological Institute of America is the benchmark of the diamond grading industry. It was established in 1931 as a public benefit and is a nonprofit organization. Over the years, GIA has established the 4 C’s and the international diamond grading system. Many jewelers only sell GIA certified diamonds. There are other jewelry appraisal organizations, some of them reputable, but GIA is the most widely recognized appraiser and is the one we prefer to use.
